154 Donated Food Packs for Families under Hard Lockdown

Maayong adlaw mga higala! I am here again to give you the latest update of our Donation drive.

Last June 27-29, 2020, We were able to give Food Packs to 154 families in our community.

We have three sets of food packs. The first set, we put Sayote, Petchay, Eggplants, Squash, Dried Fish, Onions and garlic, Tomatoes, Carrots, Mung Beans, 5 Eggs and 5 kg Rice. The 2nd set coming from Aunt Grace's family in kind donations. We put Upo, Squash, Eggplants, Camote, Carrots, Dried Fish, Mung Beans, Sayote, Onions & Garlic, Tomatoes, 5 Eggs, 1 beef loaf, Condiments and 2kg Rice. The last set we put Petchay, Eggplants, Squash, 5 Eggs, Sayote, Lemonsito, Onions and Garlic, and 5kg Rice.

Aunt Grace came over to give their donations in kind.

The beneficiaries would like to extend their heartfelt Thanks to all the donors.

According to one of the beneficiaries, "Hay, naa najud mi sud-an"(Hay, we now have food-viand). Another said "Hay salamat! naa'y utanon" (Hay, Thank you! There are vegetables.").

We asked another 4 male volunteers who went with Dolores to give the food packs to the beneficiaries, house to house. Me and Juvy were left to hasten the repacking.

The next day we continue releasing the remaining food packs at the bakery. We just asked the beneficiaries to claim it there. Here's a collage photo of the event.

Looks like Cebu City will be under quarantine for a little longer. ECQ is now until July 15, 2020. Our Barangay is part of the Top 12 with highest Covid cases.
